In this blog, we meet Toby S who recently started working as a Roasting Technician in our Brisbane Roasting Warehouse.
What is your favourite coffee and why?
I am really enjoying a Chemex at the moment. The whole process helps me wake up in the morning.
What is your most favourite/treasured memory of working at Di Bella Coffee?
Walking into the roasting room on my first day and being hit by the smell of freshly roasted coffee.
What has surprised you most about working for Di Bella Coffee?
The atmosphere. Everybody loves what they do and it shows through with their attitude and their work.
What do you find the most challenging aspect about your role?
Knowledge. There is so much to know about brewing and roasting coffee. It seems that the more you know, the more information there is to learn.
How do you define success and how do you measure it?
Doing something you love. Making sure that you enjoy showing up to work.
What are 3 things you can't live without?
Coffee. Family. Air.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Hermosa Beach, California. I have stayed there twice and it is just a fantastic place, with fantastic people. Very chilled, coastal vibe.
